Our Sales Policy

Diamond Does Rabbitry Purchase Policy

Thank you for choosing one of our precious diamonds to add to your family! We hope that you enjoy your new fur baby for many years to come; we want to encourage and contribute to your success as rabbit owner! With the purchase of your rabbit, we do a final health check, grooming, and optional preparations for show if that is what you intend to do with your bunny. Please note, rabbits cannot leave our rabbitry if they do not pass our health check, unless arrangements are made for vetting or specific medications are obtained for healing if necessary!*

Once a bunny is chosen by a forever family, we turn other potential homes down for that bunny. However, some of the forever families are not showing to pick up their new bunny, and the other families that were turned away are usually no longer looking for a bunny causing the once chosen bunny to have a hard time finding a new home. Because of this continuing issue, we now require a 50% reservation deposit down via PayPal/Venmo/Zelle/Cash and the other 50% in the form of cash at pick up time. *Should your bunny pass away or have a health issue during the reservation period, we will refund your deposit or you can pick from other available kits.

Bunnies under the age of 3 months should not have any treats, as hard as it may be not to give them any; this can be fatal to them!! So, we provide you with a bag of starter food for your new baby to help transition to the pellet brand you prefer! Once your bunny is three months, you can gradually start offering treats starting with a small carrot every few days and increase portion size and variety in time. We feed our herd the Payback rabbit formula along with Timothy hay to aid in digestion and give them a beautiful, soft coat!

20% off Spay/Neuter Vouchers are available if you plan to fix your bunny and are redeemable at Forest Valley Veterinary Clinic in Cottage Grove. Their Neuter rate for bucks is: $128, Spay for does: $175.30, and Exams are (necessary before undergoing anesthesia): $62. If you are considering multiple male rabbits that will be living together, they will need to be neutered after the age of four months, otherwise it is their nature to fight other males and they will seriously injure or kill each other. Neutered males can live together harmoniously after alteration!

All sales after bunny leaves our rabbitry are final, however, we are a message or call away if you have any questions; we have an open communication policy and we want you to be successful in the care of your new fur baby! We understand that unforeseeable circumstances come, and if you decide that having a pet bunny is not right for you, we ask that you bring the bunny back before resorting to any shelters or rescues! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at any time. As a previous rabbit 4-H student, I would absolutely be happy to answer any and all questions you have as well!

We support 4-H and FFA! Let us know if your students are members for discounts and we will also order them a 4-H book to take home with their new bunny. You may also contact us for sponsorship in relation with 4-H and FFA events! We raise rabbits for the purpose of helping kids and families get started in the show world and we know you will enjoy it immensely! There are also excellent sources we recommend for your further research on your new family member that can be found in the HLRSC guidebook and the ARBA’s “Guide to Raising Better Rabbits”! There are also supportive and informative Facebook groups as well if you are on Social Media! We wish you the absolute best and welcome updates when you get a chance! Happy Hopping!

Sincerely,
